This harness adaptor is used for easy installation of a telephone hands-free kit.

PARROT - NOKIA - BURY - IOPLAY - IOTALK

Most handsfree car kits use the industry standard ISO wiring loom, but your Ford does not.

So the harness will adapt the Ford wiring to ISO to allow you to connect the handsfree kit, which then plugs back in to the Ford stereo.
